The tale of the day when the City of Bristol made global headlines!! The statue of former slave trader Edward Colston was pulled down from its plinth, rolled to Bristol docks, and dumped in the river. The play: our 1st half looks at the BLM protests, and the history of the statue. In the 2nd half, the "Colston 4" are put on trial, and found Not Guilty! Show dates: October 25th to 29th 2022. Enjoy the story and sing along!
The Fielden Theatre, The City Academy, Lawrence Hill, Bristol, BS5 9JH. Easily accessible from Church Road bus stops and Lawrence Hill railway station. The picture shows the theatre set up for an "Oscars" audience, but we will have a "Theatre" layout at the front. Level access with wheelchair and ability scooter spaces at front. Anticipated capacity 300 per show.
