We remember George Floyd, murdered in the USA by a serving police officer. We reflect on the Black Lives Matter protests. Edward Colston himself tells us about the slave trade. The statue is toppled, rolled through the streets, and we end up with the Statue in the River.
Ten protesters were picked out and six were cautioned. At a Black Lives Matter protest, the Four arrested and charged in court were all young, white people. Why??
The trial starts and the supporters of The Colston Four discuss the possible outcomes. Here come the verdicts - NOT GUILTY! But... is that right?
A play that discusses racism, whether those in authority do enough to counter racism, and should people take the law into their own hands when decisions made are seen to be so wrong. This story has to be told, this play must be seen.
